I am an abstract landscape painter living in Frome, Somerset. Over the last 10 years I have lived in different parts of Spain and have travelled widely in South America, where I am constantly inspired by the abundance of nature.

I approach my work with an intuitive sense of the colours or forms I want to appear, but the act of painting is quite free and open, and often a piece is built up with many layers and changes taking place. This involves being receptive to the flow of something beyond conscious control, and I feel excited by this process of never

fully knowing what is going to be created.
